1. IEEE(전자공학 저널) ACM(컴퓨터 공학 저널) 

1-2. 유명 저널들은 종종 chapter meeting이라고 해서, 미국 내에서 명사들을 초청하여 주제에 대해 다루는 작은 컨퍼런스, 설명회 등을 연다고 하네요.


2. 학회저널의 멤버 단계

Student(학생회원) - 가입료가 저렴하다. 학생이 가입할 경우 주어지는 지위.
Member(일반회원) - 석사이상의 학위 보유자, 현업에 있는 사람들이 가입했을 때의 지위
Senior Member - member가 최소5년이상 활동했을 경우 승급한다고 해요.
Fellow - 학회나 저널에 대한 기여도가 높고 실력이 뛰어난 사람에게 돌아가는 명예 칭호

3. 저널 내의 전문 Society

저널 내부에서도 분야에 따라 전문적인 그룹(society)로 나뉘어지게 됩니다.
ex) Computer society, communications society, robotics society, others…

society 내부적으로 발간하는 기술잡지가 존재합니다.

4. 저널 논문을 찾아보는 방법

4-1. Google Scholar
"표시 - 논문의 인용을 따 오는 옵션, 논문형식과 프로그램 형식에 맞춰 제공하요.
날짜 - 논문 발표일 기준으로 최근 논문들을 정렬해줘요.


4-2. 학교 도서관(저널논문 열람권에 대한 계약이 되어 있다.) -> 각 저널 홈페이지


5. LaTex/Miktex - 논문 작성 프로그램

html 양식으로 작성하는 논문작성용 툴로, html방식으로 논문을 작성하고 pdf로 컴파일해 논문을 작성해요. 작성방식은 조금 까다로우나, 논문을 수정하거나 reference를 달 때에는 더욱 쉽게 작업할 수 있다고 하네요.

저널을 보면 LaTex형식으로 논문을 작성할 수 있는 템플릿을 제공하는데, .tex파일(논문양식)과 .cis(라이브러리 파일)로 구성되어 있어요.

Thompson web of science – 검색하면 주요 저널에 존재하는 논문들을 보여줍니다.

Incites journal citation reports – 저널의 정보 & impact factor를 알려주는데요. 분야별로 랭킹을 매겨서 보여줍니다.
저널의 레벨은 Q1, Q2, Q3, Q4로 표시하며, 각각 25%씩 잘라서 표시합니다.
